What Eggbeater is for
- Spectators don’t need to sign in. They can open the app and follow the schedule, scores, history, roster and tournament updates.
- Only the scorer needs score mode. The scoring password unlocks live-scoring controls; the board opens straight onto the live game.
- Keep the score right first. If anything gets hectic, accurate score and game state matter more than perfect stat detail.

1Before the game
- Open the app and go to the Scores tab.
- Tap Login to Score.
- Choose what you’re scoring — Tournament / League or My Club (both broadcast live).
- Enter the scoring password.
- The board opens straight on the live game — period, clock, both teams and cap colors (white / dark) are set automatically.
- Glance at the roster / player names to confirm they look right.
2During the game
- Use the live controls to track the game as it happens. Every tap is captured at the player level for both teams.
- Sprint Won starts the clock when each period begins.
- Clock — tap the big clock to set an exact M:SS; Start / Stop / Reset; or flip to Clock OFF to track by period with no timer. The clock keeps perfect time even when the phone locks or backgrounds.
- iPhone volume button starts / stops the clock hands-free — no need to look at the screen.
- Goal → who scored → optional assist, with goal tags 6-on-5, Backhand (BH), and Counter (Counter and 6-on-5 are mutually exclusive).
- Steals, blocks, GK saves / steals, and 5m attempts.
- Turnovers → Shot Clock Violation, Team Dump, Inside 2m, Forced Ball Under (FBU), Opp Steal, or Other.
- Exclusions: the picker offers Kickout (20-second, counts toward the 3-kickout ejection), Common Foul (doesn’t count), or Brutality (ejects immediately, 4-min). Record Opp Excl with Earned if your player drew the foul.
- Use the inline play log to confirm each action recorded.
3After the game
- Close the game cleanly so spectators see the correct final result.
- Tap the red End Game button.
- Confirm to end — normally the “End the game?” prompt is just a confirm. If the tournament/league admin has turned on referee sign-off (off by default, official feed only), the prompt instead adds a required ✍️ Game referee sign-off field: enter the referee’s name to finalize, then tap End game.
- Wait for the final save status to confirm before closing out.
- The game moves to History automatically; when sign-off is enabled the final shows “✓ Signed off by [referee]” for spectators.
- Exit Scorer when finished.
