Using Eggbeater

1Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Eggbeater Water Polo application ("the App"), in any browser or via our native iOS and Android applications, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2Description of service

Eggbeater is a tournament-tracking and live-scoring tool for water polo teams, clubs, and leagues. The App allows coaches and administrators to manage rosters, schedules, live scoring, and brackets, and allows spectators to follow live game times, scores, players, and teams.

3Eligibility & accounts

  • Following games as a spectator does not require an account.
  • Signing in with Google or Apple is optional and is used only to sync your preferences across devices.
  • Admin and club-management features require authentication and authorization by your club.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any club codes or score-entry passwords shared with you.

4Acceptable use

You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose of organizing and following water polo activities. You agree not to:

  • Enter false, misleading, or malicious data into rosters, scores, or schedules.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to club, tournament, or league data that is not shared with you.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App’s infrastructure, live-scoring relay, or push-notification systems.
  • Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm players, volunteers, officials, or other users.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell any part of the service without written permission.

5User-generated content

Coaches, scorers, and administrators are responsible for the roster, score, and schedule data they enter. You retain ownership of data you create, and grant Eggbeater a limited license to store, display, and relay that data as needed to provide the service (for example, broadcasting a live score to spectators).

6Live scoring & accuracy

Live scores, statistics, and standings are entered by volunteers and club staff in real time and may contain errors or delays. Eggbeater does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any score or statistic. Official results are determined by the referees and tournament organizers, not by the App.

Subscriptions & billing

7Subscriptions & payments

  • Spectator use is free. Paid tiers (Premium Spectator, Club, Tournament Hosting, and League Hosting) unlock additional features.
  • Mobile subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed through your app-store account.
  • Web-based payments are processed by Stripe; subscription entitlements are managed via RevenueCat.
  • Tournament Hosting is billed per event; League Hosting is billed per season; Club subscriptions are billed monthly or annually.

8Cancellation & refunds

  • You may cancel a subscription at any time; access continues through the end of the current billing period.
  • App-store subscriptions are subject to the refund policies of Apple or Google.
  • The Club tier includes a 14-day free trial; no charge is made until the trial ends.
  • Per-event and per-season purchases are non-refundable once the tournament or season has begun.

Liability & legal

9Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Eggbeater does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that scores and schedules will be accurate.

10Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eggbeater and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to missed games, incorrect scores, or lost data.

11Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The "Last updated" date will be revised when we do. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
