Is this video streaming?
No, and that is deliberate. Eggbeater is a live scoreboard and play-by-play feed: the score, the clock, who scored, saves and exclusions, updating in about 5 seconds. No cameras to set up, no fight for bandwidth on a crowded pool deck, and none of the filming questions schools have to manage. It works from any seat at any pool.
What if the other school is not on Eggbeater?
It does not matter. One scorer at one table covers the whole game: both rosters, both crowds. The visiting school’s fans follow your page live without installing anything. (And every game you score is a quiet demo for their program.)
Are scores live if nobody scores in the app?
Live scores come from your table scoring on Eggbeater. That is why the free first season includes getting your desk comfortable. No scorer, no live score. We would rather tell you that here than surprise you on game day.
Our girls play in winter, not fall. Does the free season still apply?
Yes. One school page carries every team, and each season goes live when yours does: NorCal boys, NorCal girls and SoCal boys in the fall, SoCal girls in the winter. Your first season is free whenever it starts, and every season is archived separately with its history and stats. Schools outside California: the same platform, on your calendar.
