Beta program

New features reach the beta before the store.

The store gives everyone the stable Eggbeater, and that is the right default. The beta is the same app a release ahead — you get the new tab, the new report, the new scorer screen while we are still sanding the edges. Free, one tap, and you can leave whenever you want.

Join the beta on Android

Three steps, and the second one is the one people skip.

1. Become a tester

Open the Google Play opt-in page and tap “Become a tester”, signed in with the same Google account you use for the Play Store.

2. Give Play a few minutes

The beta does not appear the second you join. Up to 15 minutes is normal, and it is the step people give up on.

3. Update Eggbeater

Open Eggbeater on Google Play and tap Update (or Install). The listing will tell you that you are a beta tester.

What the beta is, and what it is not

Same app, same games

The beta reads the same live scores, the same clubs and the same notifications as the public app. Joining does not move your team, sign you out, or start you over.

A release ahead

Beta builds go out whenever there is something worth testing — sometimes weekly, sometimes not for a month. Whatever is next reaches you first.

Rough edges are the deal

A beta build has had less time on real devices than a store release. If one misbehaves on a game day, leaving takes a minute and puts you back on the public version.

Tell us what broke

hello@eggbeater.app comes straight to us, and it is the feedback address Google shows on the beta listing. Beta feedback stays private — it never lands in the public reviews.

Leaving takes a minute

You are never stuck on a beta build, and you do not have to ask us.

1. Leave the programme

Open the same opt-in page and tap “Leave the programme”. Nothing else on your phone changes.

2. Reinstall from the store

Uninstall Eggbeater and install it again from its Play listing. Android will not move you back down to the public build on its own.

3. Everything comes back

Your team, your notifications and your sign-in live in your account, not in the build, so they return with you.

iPhone and iPad

The beta is Android-only today. The iPhone and iPad beta runs through Apple’s TestFlight, and the join link will sit on this page the day it opens. Want to be in that first group? Say so and we will send the invite.
