High school water polo, live: what we built for the 2026 season.
Mark a club as high school and the scorer speaks NFHS. Paste a MaxPreps page and the season imports. Every school gets a live team page, real player stats, and the varsity look — all live today, first season free.
High-school water polo runs on different rules, different schedules, and different records than club. This season, Eggbeater speaks all three. Here’s what we built for 2026 — the NFHS scorer, one-paste MaxPreps import, a live page for every school, real player stats, and the varsity look. All of it is live today, and a program’s first season is free.

One number before the features: this summer the platform scored 4,468 Junior Olympics games live, across three sessions. That is the engine high school gets.
The scorer speaks NFHS
Mark a club as high school and the scorer switches automatically. No settings to hunt down — the ruleset follows the program.
- Overtime, the NFHS way — a tied game goes to two 3-minute overtime periods, then sudden victory. Never a shootout: NFHS prohibits them, so the scorer never offers one.
- 35-second shot clock — the high-school reset, on every possession.
- High-school timeout counts — tracked to the NFHS book, not the club one.
- Ties stand — a game can end tied where tournament rules permit it.
California plays NFHS rules statewide — CIF uses the NFHS book — so a California program gets the right rules the moment it’s marked as a school.
Paste your MaxPreps page. The season imports.
Typing in a schedule is the chore that kills adoption, so we removed it. Paste your team’s MaxPreps page and the whole season imports: dates, times, home and away — away games carry their cities — and league games marked with the MaxPreps-style asterisk.
The asterisk isn’t decoration. League games feed a separate league record, tracked alongside overall — the record that decides a league title. Both stay current as results land.
Schedules change. Paste the page again later and the import heals and updates what moved instead of duplicating it.
One link for the whole community
Every school gets a team page at eggbeater.app/t/your-school: live scores with 5-second updates during games, the schedule, rosters, and standings. One link covers the whole community — families in the stands, students, alumni three time zones away. No app, no login.
A scoreboard, not a broadcast. Eggbeater is live scores and play-by-play — the score, the clock, who scored — updating about every 5 seconds. No cameras, no filming questions, nothing to set up on the deck. You follow the game; we don’t film it.
Real stats from every logged play
Live scoring records the game as it happens: goals, assists, steals, exclusions drawn, sprints, goalie saves. Every logged play rolls up.
Coaches get game-by-game breakdowns and season records built from those plays — not a box score typed in from memory on Sunday night. If you’re deciding what to track, we wrote up what actually matters.
The varsity look
For the season, the whole app wears a high-school design — the varsity look, in light and dark. Your season should look like your season, not like a club tournament in June.
First season free
High-school programs get their first season free — fall or winter, the whole season. Claim your school’s page on the high-school page and be live before your first sprint.
