Foothill entered the Gold bracket as the 15th seed of 16 — a team that had just moved up, after finishing 3rd in Silver in 2025. It won its semifinal 6–5 over Granada in overtime, then lost the final 12–8 to College Park. No team in the 2026 tournament beat its seed by more — 13 places.
